The main difference between
self-tapping screws and ordinary screws is that they have different properties, different characteristics, and different applications, as follows:
1. Different nature
1. Self-tapping screws
Self-tapping screw is a kind of screw with a drill bit. It is constructed by special electric tools, and drilling, tapping, fixing and locking are completed at one time.
2. Ordinary screws
Refers to the more common and commonly used, more common, not special-shaped screws are ordinary screws.
Second, the characteristics are different
1. Self-tapping screws
On the material to be consolidated, relying on its own thread, the consolidated body can be "tapped-drilled, squeezed, pressed" out the corresponding thread, so that it fits closely with each other, and can be directly screwed in without tapping.
2. Screws
Ordinary screws are flat head, the thickness is the same, need to have screw eyes and tapping to use.
Three, different applications
1. Self-tapping screws
For non-metals or softer metals, without drilling and tapping.
2. Screws
For non-metals or metals that require hard drilling and tapping.
